I really like retro. Certainly one of my favorites is the fashion of the early 1940’s. It was when america was dominating the world economically as we got here out of the Nice Melancholy and we have been in between World Wars and making an attempt to keep away from the second. Franklin D. Roosevelt’s “New Deal” was displaying to be working and every thing appeared to be going nice for America and it’s residents. Optimism abounded. Some treasures from the forty’s, like this home, are nonetheless round for us to take pleasure in at this time and I’m so glad!

This previous home, featured at Little Issues, has stood the check of time. Constructed within the 1940’s it was structurally sound however the inside was in a state of disrepair. That was till designer Sarah Phipps obtained her arms on it. She noticed the potential within the pitfall. Lol. I’ve to a lot hassle with that. She took out the nasty carpet and paperboard partitions and turned it into the cutest little vacation house. Subsequent time you’re in Oregon, test it out! The entire thing jogs my memory of Flip or Flop, that superior present on HGTV with Tarek and Christina. Haven’t seen it? Test it out here. I feel it’s on on Thursday nights.

Take a tour of this lovable home right here…
